First is “Sensorineural hearing loss” in which a person will face an issue in the inner ear or acoustic nerve. It gets damaged because of ototoxic medications, illness, or loud noises. Genetic or aging processes are also the reasons behind hearing loss. The second is “Conductive hearing loss” which occurs when earwax builds up in the ear canal. Eardrum damage or bone damage in the middle ear can also cause hearing loss. The third is “Mixed hearing loss” which affects the inner ear, outer or middle ear.
